Frequently asked questons about Camp Veritas.
1. What no phones or tablets are allowed? The Camp "works" for several reasons because of the fact that they are unplugged. I've witnessed kids become human again, lol, they look at one another, listen, converse, rather than watch or text something.
2. How will I know that my child is OK? Daily e-newsletters will be emailed. in addition, Camp has all of your contact, medical, emergency info. If your child is not OK....trust me....you'll know.
I will be at both weeks in New York, all week.
3. Who are the staff? Includes 150 laypeople and about 50 religious and priests. Everyone has been through at least one background check through Safe Environment.
4. Will my kids be with other kids their age? Yes. They are divided by sex and age, for example, G-7 is girls 7th Grade. B-12 would be Boys in Senior Year in High School.
5. I'm still not sure...my kids never been away before. Most of the kids from last year (80%) are going back this year. It was good for them and they immediately "locked in" to being away. If you really don't wish to you can still do the seven classes and full day retreat.
