Collecting 5 Cent Bottles and Cans for Mary's Meals
St. Mary's Horizon's Youth Group Fundraising Initiative
St. Mary's Horizon's Youth Group is accepting CLEAN bottles and cans for deposit to raise money for Mary's Meals. Mary's Meals, named for our Blessed Mother, provides a daily nutritious meal for school children in 18 of the poorest countries in the world. To date, Mary's Meals feeds nearly 2.5 million children each day.
How to participate:
1. Recycle your own bottles and cans and bring your bottle deposit money to the parish office in an envelope marked "Mary's Meals".
2. Bring your CLEAN $.05 bottle and cans to the parish shed which is located at the back of the main church parking lot (see photo below) and Horizon's Youth Group will recycle them and send the funds to Mary's Meals USA.
3. Make a donation by check to Mary's Meals and drop it off at the Parish Office.
4. Volunteer to help the Youth Group recycle bottles and cans. For information, contact Randy at [email protected].
All funds raised through this project will be "credited" to the Horizon's Youth Group Mary's Meals initiative.
